Granulated sugar

Various grain sizes to meet the needs of all customers: white sugar from sugar beets cat. EEC I and EEC II, white sugar from sugar beets with large crystal size and medium crystal size, white sugar from sugar beets finely sifted “semoule patisserie”.

Cane sugar

Sugar produced on EEC territory and strictly compliant with European hygiene and health standards: granulated raw cane sugar, cane sugar refined so as to make it completely white, ideal for sparkling wine, cocktails and other beverages

Pearl sugar

Various grain sizes of sugar in pearl grain for the decoration of bakery goods and small pastries, leav-ened and seasonal products. Thanks to its particular pearling, it resists the high temperatures of the ovens, remaining white, bright and pleasantly crunchy even after cooking.

Organic sugar

Granda Zuccheri was the first Italian company to import organic sugar, starting in 1994. Thanks to the exclusive contract with a highly experienced manufacturer, it is possible to guarantee the total tracea-bility of the product and the careful control of every phase of the supply chain (from the field to deliv-ery), always with a comprehensive view to sustainability. Organic raw cane sugar, organic white cane sugar, organic whole cane sugar.

Confectioners sugar

Thanks to the fully automated grinding and packaging system, it is possible to produce: pure confec-tioners sugar, confectioners sugar with added starch (anti-caking) at the customer’s request, from wheat, corn, rice, potato. Raw cane confectioners sugar, organic confectioners sugar, confectioners sugar with vanillin aroma. The line is also safe with regard to allergens: Granda Zuccheri confectioners sugar with corn starch is included in the Gluten Free Italia handbook.

  1. Establishment

    It is the year 1937: in Venasca, in the Varaita Valley, Chiaffredo Rinaudo opened a grocery store with wholesale and retail trade. In 1960, his son Guido continued his father’s business, focusing on coffee and sugar.

  2. The Packets

    Beginning of a pioneering activity: the packaging of sugar in packets (second company in Italy to do so).

  3. Wholesale Trade

    Move to Busca. Wholesale trade develops. Purchase of the first vehicles. First imports from abroad.

  4. New Equipment

    The processed volume reaches the level of 12 kton/y. New industrial equipment: mills for hardened sugar and confectioners sugar, machine for packaging in bags of by the kilo. Opening of the internal customs warehouse.

  5. Organic

    Granda Zuccheri is the first company in Italy to import organic sugar.

  6. Evolution

    New packaging departments with machines for sticks. Four new silos. The logistics activity begins to evolve internally at the Rinaudo group. Development of machinery and warehouses. Direct import from ACP countries. New traceability systems.

  7. Attention to the Environment

    Installation of a photovoltaic system to reduce the environmental impact of the production. New lines for confectioners sugar and 1 kg bags.

  8. The Holding Company

    Granda Zuccheri becomes a joint-stock company. It enters into contracts with a global manufacturer. Contract for the management of ‘pallet-pooling’. Acquisition of up to 95% of the company TRAE.

  9. Innovation

    Refurbishment of all the packaging departments. New packaging for the B2C market. IT innovations: VTE NEXT, platform for operating the CRM with immediate data sharing; MICROSOFT POWER BI, data analysis software for real-time sales control.
